Each Christmas for the last six years, employees of the J. Rettenmaier Company, located on US 131 near Schoolcraft, have donated to the Eagles Nest with food products and money. 2016 was no exception with a check for $3,500 and the many food supplies shown in the picture of employees and officers of the Eagles Nest.

Each week during the school year, 71 bags of food are delivered to school children for their weekend use. The families are selected to receive the food by their qualification for free and reduced priced school lunches.
