Civil War vet Enoch Robinson’s grave with its new veteran decoration.

What a busy time in our villages and surrounding areas! We hope you can enjoy some of the offerings as many organizations resume annual events.

Schoolcraft’s Christmas Walk is back and will be held Friday, December 3 from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, December 4, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Facebook event titled “2021 Christmas Walk” will have all the details including participants and activities. Local business owners and organization are eager to return to this holiday tradition and hope to grow the event. Please remember that some locations may have mask, capacity, and social distancing guidelines in place during the event. And there is a rumor that Santa will be in town!

An update on Jane Crist’s efforts cleaning and restoring veterans’ headstones in the old cemetery: With the help of Virginia Mongreig, Jane has located Civil War veteran Enoch Robinson’s grave, and a veteran’s monument has been installed. Watch for a future story!
