Library Week: April 3-9

Preschool Story Hour BOOKs, BOOKs EVERYWHERE!: April 5 at 11-11:30 a.m. Ages 3-6. Stories, fingerplays, movement and a take home craft.

Prairie Page Turners: April 6 at 2 p.m. in the Bob Crissman Community Room. The book for April is “The Badass Librarians of Timbuktu” by Joshua Hammer. Join us for a great discussion, sharing and snacks!

Art by Kaitlyn Hamacher: Meet and Greet April 6, 5:30-7 p.m. Hamacher: “My work, to me, is an outlet. Therefore, I would like my art to not only create a feeling, but also create conversation. My work is up for interpretation as well, as the broad topics my art focuses on are not directly stated. However, they are shown through color choice and visual clues in order to give context.”

Art by Katherine Suender: Meet and Greet April 6, 5:30-7 p.m. Katherine considers herself a “Jack of all Trades, Master of None” when it comes to her art. Within the show, you will see monoprints, drawings, photographs, gourd art, experimental watercolor, tie dye, ceramics and fused glass pieces.

PrintMaking with Katherine Suender: Wednesday April 13, 6-7 p.m. Come and learn the art of printmaking with featured artist Katherine Suender. Space is limited so sign up at the library or email thom66lib@schoolcraftlibrary.org. Anyone 3rd grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Intermediate 3D Workshop: April 18, 21, 25, and 28, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Grades 3 and up. Focus is on importing STL files and modifying them in Tinkercad. Taking 2D files and making them 3D.
