As I write this, the weather has warmed, and the tulips are starting their annual show. April’s weather is always unpredictable, but after some of last month’s sleet and snow, we are all ready for some sunshine and warmer May weather! Signs of spring are everywhere—the grass is greening, magnolias and dogwoods are blossoming, and hummingbirds and orioles have been sighted in Michigan. That sure feels good!
We are proud of this issue that spotlights our spring student athletes. We have included news from our area schools, interesting features, and the usual columns you have come to expect. Several new writers have also joined our efforts and we appreciate their skills, interests and efforts.

Please consider supporting our efforts
Enclosed in your May edition, you will find our annual donation envelope. This is a major source of income because we depend not only on our loyal advertisers, but also on our readership partners to continue publishing. Our advertising revenue does not cover all the costs of producing, printing, and distributing each monthly edition. If you like what you are reading, please join the 5% of our readers who make an annual donation. We appreciate your support.
