Happy New Year! I remember how strange the year 2000 seemed, and here it is already 2025! This is an exciting time to be living in South County. We are experiencing growth and new opportunities for our residents. We are continuing to find innovative ways to educate and train our youth. Area agencies and non-profits who support programs and residents seem healthy. We have so much to look forward to in 2025!
We are proud of this edition. Our January cover is Jeanne Church’s fourth. Our readership partners continue to praise her columns and photography, and we are thankful she is part of the team. We include Vicksburg and Schoolcraft’s winter athletes this issue—another feature of the SCN that we are told isn’t happening anywhere else. We also have our regular columns and some special stories which remind us of the importance of a caring community.
