Youth Events

Take Your Child to the Library Day – Come down to the Library for all kinds of fun events to celebrate YOUR local library.  We’ll have library card sign-ups, story times, snowflake folding crafts, giveaways, snacks, and more!  Fun for all ages. Saturday, February 8 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Snow date, if necessary, Saturday, February 15.

Family Story Time – Books, songs, and more! Mondays, February 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 10-10:45 a.m.

Mugs & Hugs – Stories, activities, and interaction. Wednesdays, February 5 and 19, 10-11 a.m.

Teen Break & Bulldog Break – A safe space for teens and tweens to get together and have fun. Crafts, games, social activities, and tasty treats are for people under 18! Thursdays, February 6 and 20 at 2:45-5:45 p.m.

STEAM – Engage in hands-on activities and use problem-solving skills. Monday, February 17, 11 a.m.-12 noon. Thursday, February 20, 6-7 p.m.

Lego and DUPLO Club – Individual creativity is the goal. Tuesday, February 18, 1-2 p.m. and evening 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Movies at the Vicksburg Library: Elementary – Thursday, February 6, 5:45-7:45 p.m. First Thursday of the month. Check the Library schedule online for movie titles. We make the popcorn, you bring a drink and blanket if you wish!

Adult Events

Adult Book Club – February discussion: “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver. March: “The Power of One” by Bryce Courtenay. Thursday, February 6, March 6, 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Writers’ Motivational Group – Support, brainstorm, discuss. Thursday, February 27, 4-5 p.m.

Computer Class: Job Searches from Start to Finish with MeL eResources – Wednesday, February 19, 6-7 p.m.

Book Boxes – Personalized book recommendations and treats in a box. Sign up February 1-14.

Adult Winter Reading Program – Turn in your checkout receipts to win a free prize and be entered to win Amazon gift cards. Program runs until March 21.
