The Eagles headed to Bronson for the District 3 final game after their win over Centreville in the semifinal. Schoolcraft entered with an 8-15 record, while the Bronson Vikings boasted a 21-2 record.

At the 3-minute-mark, Schoolcraft Coach Kulczyk called a timeout to talk some strategy since the Vikings had taken a 19-4 lead. At the end of the first period, the home team still had a lead at 19-7. Bronson’s defense was strong, making it difficult to the Eagles offense to get much going. The Eagles held strong and tried to get the ball in the rim. Heading into the half, the Vikings held a 32-19 lead.

After the half, both teams came out of the locker room to a roaring crowd. Bronson’s under-the-rim game came alive in the third. Their first 8 points in the 3rd all came from the paint. Bronson opened its lead to 47-26. With 2 minutes left, Schoolcraft’s seniors were pulled out one at a time. Val DeVries put up the last point for the Eagles. Bronson headed to the Regional Quarterfinal with the 55-37 win, while the Eagles’ season came to an end.
