My great grandson, Calvin
Is three months old already,
His happy smiles can light up a room
He’ll be saying “Mama” and “Dada” soon.
A happier boy, you never did see
As he dances with Grandma Laurie,
He holds on tight, thinking it’s fun
Much too soon, the music is done.
He’s learning the different colors
On their daily walk each day,
There are birds to see and flowers to feel
His alertness has bloomed since May.
His brain is working overtime
There’s so much to learn and see,
I hope he will have a wonderful life
And can sometimes be carefree.
Each day she reads a book to him
Soon, he will understand,
He likes to hear the sound of her voice
As she holds his tiny hand.
So many things lie ahead for our sweet boy
The first tooth and words, will show up soon,
Creeping, then walking, on little legs, so small
Before we know it, he will grow tall.
The months seem to fly by in a blur
That little fellow learns more each day,
For Calvin to have a happy, healthy life
Is what I will always pray!
