Eagles Cheer Soaring

Competitive Cheer is only in its 4th year at Schoolcraft High School,  but the team had been making waves at the local competitions. It placed 3rd out of 11 Division 4 teams in attendance at its own Cheer Jamboree. It traveled to Allegan for another SAC Jamboree where members captured 2nd place with a total score of 654.4 points. For its next adventure, the team traveled to Bloomingdale High School where it earned 1st place. At Parchment High School, members placed  2nd and were in the hunt of the SAC Championship.  At the Vicksburg Invite, they showed why they are going to be a team to deal with when they took 1st place.

The Division 4 Region #19 District Championship was held at Bloomingdale High School on February 21, involving teams from Bangor, Bloomingdale, Coloma, Comstock, Constantine, Covert, Delton Kellogg, Fennville, Gobles, Hartford, Schoolcraft and White Pigeon. After 3 rounds of competition the winners were announced: Coloma District Champions at 698.20 points, Schoolcraft finished in  2nd place at 684.88 points, 3rd place was Delton Kellogg at 679.92 points and White Pigeon captured the 4th and final spot to advance to the Regional Championships with a total of 634.20 points.

Teams from Districts 19, 23 and 24 will compete at Novi High School in Region 7 on the 28th  with the top 4 teams advancing to the State Championships against the top 4 teams from Region 8 that will be held at Hudsonville High School.
