Bangor High School was the site of the MHSAA Division 3 Regional 20 semifinal matchup between the Kalamazoo Christian Comets and the Schoolcraft Eagles.
Kalamazoo Christian reached the semifinal after capturing the District 77 championship with a 58–51 victory over Lawton. Schoolcraft earned its spot by defeating Union City 54–40 in the District 80 championship. That game had originally been scheduled for Friday, March 6 at Union City High School but was postponed and relocated to Centreville on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. due to the tornado that devastated parts of Union City.

In the first half of the semifinal, Kalamazoo Christian’s Ellie VanDusen led all scorers with 18 points, while Val DeVries paced the Eagles with six. The Comets carried a 25–20 lead into halftime.

With just three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Comets held a narrow 45–43 advantage. Kalamazoo Christian managed to hold off the Eagles down the stretch to secure a 52–47 victory, ending Schoolcraft’s season.
