Vicksburg student art heads for display

by | Jul 2026 | Community

Vicksburg Fine Arts Boosters is partnering with Vicksburg Community Schools art teachers to share the artistic talents of students at all grade levels.

Every three months, the art teachers select student artwork for display around the community. The artwork includes coloring, painting, sketching, and digital photography

Booster volunteers collect artwork from each school, apply personal name tags to each piece and allocate all artwork across the display sites. A total of 18 area merchants volunteer to display the artwork. Over the past 4 years, more than 700 pieces have been displayed.

The group’s vision is to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to experience and value the fine arts – videography, photography, visual arts, theatre, vocal and general music – in the Vicksburg Community Schools district. We accomplish this via our mission to support and encourage participation in fine arts programs and initiatives throughout the district.
