KCSB hosts ‘Don’t Be the Victim’ forum

Chances are that you know someone who has been a victim of financial fraud. Whether by phone, internet, mail or check, roughly 30% of Americans have experienced a financial loss in the last year. Reports show that US adults lost over $3 billion dollars in 2023.

On May 15, KCSB, in partnership with the Better Business Bureau and the Portage Zhang Senior Center, will present “Don’t be the Victim” Here, attendees will learn red flags to look for and what to do if you find yourself falling for a scam. Learn to help protect yourself and your hard-earned money!

The event will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Portage Zhang Senior Center, 203 East Centre Avenue, Portage. The event is open to the public. All ages are welcome, and refreshments will be served.
